About CorrectSequence Therapeutics

CorrectSequence TherapeuticsTM (CorrectseqTM)(www.correctsequence.com) is a clinical-stage biotech company employing its proprietary transformer Base Editor (tBE) to pioneer next-generation gene editing therapies.

The leading pipeline candidate, CS-101, is an innovative HBG-targeting base editing therapy for β-thalassemia. It has completed Phase I clinical trial and advanced into the pivotal clinical trial stage. More than 40 transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia patients from around the world — including China, Laos, Malaysia, and Pakistan have been treated, with the first patient remaining transfusion-independence for nearly 3 years. All the patients in Phase I clinical trial have remained transfusion-free for over a year, achieving clinical cure.

CS-206, an ex vivo gene-editing therapy for sickle cell disease, has enabled the first treated patient from Nigeria to remain free of vaso-occlusive crises (VOCs) for more than 19 months as of today, achieving the primary efficacy endpoint.

CS-121, an in vivo tBE-based gene-editing therapy via lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for hypertriglyceridemia / familial chylomicronemia, has successfully treated multiple adult and pediatric patients. It is currently at IND-enabling stage, targeting US FDA/China NMPA IND filing.

tBE offers significant advantages in controlling off-target effects and enhancing in vivo editing efficiency, making it ideal for both multiplex editing and precise single-target editing. It is compatible with various delivery system, including ex vivo editing in hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) and T cells, as well as in vivo editing via LNPs.

We are developing multiple pipeline programs targeting genetic diseases, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and oncology.

Our focus on biotechnology innovation, research and development underscores our commitment to providing efficient, reliable and safe solution for unmet medical needs.
